Christina Egelund
Danish Minister for Higher Education and Science
The minister will highlight the priority of AI in the strategy the Council of the European Union and Denmark.

Christina Egelund was appointed Danish Minister for Higher Education and Science on December 15, 2022. She is affiliated with the Moderates. Her political career began with the Liberal Alliance, where she served as a Member of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) from 2015 to 2019, representing North Jutland. She was also chairwoman of the party’s parliamentary group from 2018 to 2019.

Outside of politics, she has held roles such as Public Affairs Director at Rud Pedersen, Academy Director at the think tank Justitia, and Special Political Developer at the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI). She has also served on the board of VisitDenmark and as a member of the Libre Prize jury committee.
